Hillsdale Community Health Center combines the finest quality OB care with the latest technology and services. Women can receive outpatient and OB primary care through our local physician offices close to home, then deliver their babies in the comfort and safety of our birthing center.
We have an exemplary inter-disciplinary team, consisting of obstetricians, a certified nurse midwife, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and lactation specialists. These professionals will provide individualized post-partum care for women and infants, including all mandatory state screenings and physician examination prior to discharge.
RADIOLOGY HCHC ADVANTAGE
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Hillsdale Community Health Center’s Open MRI Unit offers the ability to perform most MRI examinations on all patients, including the claustrophobic or larger-sized patient in a comfortable environment. HCHC is proud to offer the MRI technology that can deliver quality results to the ordering physician and allow our patients to have a pleasant and relaxing experience while undergoing their exam.
Computed Tomography (CT) HCHC’s 64-slice CT scanner makes it possible to perform advanced cardiac procedures not usually available at community hospitals as well as all routine CT examinations. With it’s faster speed and powerful computer, narrowed or blocked arteries of the heart as well as all major vessels of the body can be examined. By offering the latest imaging technology HCHC is committed to ensuring the highest possible imaging quality on all studies we perform.
Digital Mammography with Computer Aided Detection (CAD) HCHC’s latest edition of the state-of-the-art equipment in the Medical Imaging department is Digital Mammography with computer-aided-detection, CAD. Digital mammography allows the interpreting radiologist to adjust the brightness, change contrast and zoom in on the image for more thorough inspection of specific areas of interest. CAD is a sophisticated computer program that is linked to the digital mammography system. This program scans the images and alerts the radiologist to take a second look by flagging suspicious areas. The use of CAD has been shown to increase the accuracy of mammography by up to 20% HCHC is proud to be one of the first community hospitals in Michigan that offers this cutting edge technology.
PHYSICAL THERAPY HCHC ADVANTAGE
Physical Therapy is a form of health care that identifies, corrects, and prevents acute or prolonged impaired functions of movement of an anatomic or physiologic beginning. Land based and Aquatic Therapy with optional maintenance programs are available. Other programs offered at HCHC include:
Sports Medicine / Athletic Training services for area schools – In conjunction with the Hillsdale College Athletic Training Fellowship Program, HCHC provides injury prevention and game coverage for seven area schools.
Maintenance Program – After successful completion of a prescribed Physical Therapy program, HCHC physical therapy facilities are available for you to continue your land or aquatic exercise program.
Manual Therapy – HCHC Physical Therapy Department is staffed with physical therapists that are skilled in the latest manual physical therapy techniques.
