CCU/ICU/Stepdown / Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics

Twenty-four hour patient care services at HCHC are delivered through an organized and systematic process designed to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and timely care and treatment.

Our four-bed CCU/ICU unit serves critical and/or intensive care patients experiencing acute and chronic illnesses from heart attacks to trauma.  All staff is involved in bedside care and provides the highest quality patient care and support for families.

Our six-bed STEPDOWN unit offers the same level of compassionate quality care to those patients that are less critical, but not ready for the General Medical unit. 

Nursing services are essential to help patients recover or learn to manage their chronic illnesses.  HCHC’s 25 bed MEDICAL / SURGICAL / PEDIATRIC unit is staffed with Registered Nurses and Technically Advanced Personnel trained to care for a wide array of patient needs in a compassionate, safe, and comfortable environment.

Although each unit differs in patient population and levels of illness, they have a common nursing goal:  to provide knowledge-based, comprehensive care that supports the hospital’s values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship and Excellence.
